Membership Fair on October 11 – A Success

October 19, 2011

Last week we had a very successful meeting that had a membership drive component. We had several visitors who had the opportunity to learn about some aspects of our Denver Cherry Creek Rotary club. This includes our signature project, the annual Dental Mission, our literacy projects here in Denver and our involvement with youth (eg. RYLA – Rotary Youth Leadership Award).

We were excited to have a new member induction where our new member Lindsey is now the 3rd generation in her family to be part of Rotary. It was great to see her grandfather and father there for the special occasion.

Our next special membership fair will be Tuesday, April 5, 2012.

Golf has its positive aspects

October 20, 2009

Today, one of the participants in our 2009 Cherry Creek Open, received a check for $13,000! He had shot a hole-in-one where and when it counted at our tournament. He chose to take the cash instead of the Harley! It was very exciting! Now, we will have him returning to play at next year’s Open (schedule permitting) and he will bring others to partake in a fun day of golf and comraderie which helps our Club raise monies for the Foundation.

August 13, 2009

Most of the numbers have been calculated from our July 23rd Cherry Creek Open held at The Golf Club at Bear Dance! Thanks to our golfers, sponsors and silent auction participants (donors and purchasers), we raised over $22,000!! One of the golfers, Steve Krieger, shot a hole-in-one on the 7th hole and won a Harley Davidson! How cool is that!
